Data Sharing Working Group Members

A group of model developers dedicated to improving the efficiency of Species At Risk data sharing in Atlantic Canada

The Data Sharing working group was assembled in the Fall of 2022 to improve data sharing in Atlantic Canada, in support of Species At Risk model building. They have developed a data catalogue to help model developers find the data they need more easily.

Jocelyn sends out meeting invites, updates the website, and establishes working group milestones. She enjoys using MaxEnt, writing clean code and community building. She is a Conservation Data Analyst at the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre.

Courtney Baldo
Courtney Baldo | Working Group member

Courtney Baldo is a Species at Risk monitoring biologist at the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables on the Wildlife: Biodiversity team. She has broad experience in GIS and with ArcGIS tools, in addition to Python, ecological landscape analysis, suitability modelling and species distribution modelling.

Sarah Hirtle is the Coastal Conservation Coordinator at Island Nature Trust.

Miranda Frison | Working Group member

Miranda is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Graduate student at the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS).
